The X fan account “Girish Chandra (Fan of Rahul Gandhi)” (@girish663) shared a 25-second clip with a Hindi caption addressing “vote chors”. It said that even if they shut down 250 trains, 45 metro stations and the internet and detained leaders, they could not stop the massive crowd coming for the movement, and ended with “Inquilab Zindabad”. The video shows tractors, motorcycles and people moving along a highway towards Delhi. PIB Fact Check found that the footage is old, from 2021, and was earlier shared by the media page TV1 (tvfirstnews) with the caption "मेट्रो बंद, स्टेशन बंद". The tractors and flags in the clip match the farmers’ protests of that period. Using it in the context of the recent protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and against the Election Commission is misleading. This is the latest in a series of recycled crowd videos used to exaggerate protest turnout, so a clip’s date and source should be checked before it is shared.
