The verified X handle of Balmukund Joshi (@balmukundjoshi) shared a 17-second clip with the Hindi caption "अद्भुत नजारा: सरकार ने सवारी गाड़ी बंद की तो जुनून से लबरेज लोग मालगाड़ी में सवार हो गये". The caption translates to “Amazing sight: when the government shut down passenger trains, people full of passion boarded a goods train”. The post linked the scene to the recent protests in Delhi and suggested passenger trains had been cancelled to stop protesters. PIB Fact Check has flagged the claim as fake. The video is old and from Bangladesh, and it has no link to Delhi, the protests or any train cancellations in India. The clip carries a watermark from “RRBD”, a Dhaka-based page that posts videos of Bangladesh’s railway network, along with a warning that riding on train roofs is illegal and dangerous. PTI Fact Check had earlier traced the same footage to a post by the page on September 5, 2026. This is one of several recycled crowd videos used to misrepresent the protests, so the origin of such clips should be checked before they are shared.
